How do I get a South Carolina Real Estate License?
1. Eligibility: Graduate from high school or hold a certificate of equivalency and be at least 18 years old.
2. Enrollment: Register for the Unit 1: Fundamentals of Real Estate Course (60-hours). Register for Unit 2 concurrently to access a discounted rate.
3. Exam: Pass the Course Exit Exam given on the last day of the Unit I course.
If you do not pass the Unit 1 course exit exam, you can retake the exam and even re-enroll in the next Unit 1 course completely free.
4. Application: Mail in your Certificate of Completion along with an application
to the SC Real Estate Commission.
5. Background Checks: Complete fingerprint and Social Security background checks.
6. Testing: Schedule your test through PSI Testing Center.
7. Advanced Course: Complete the Unit 2 course (30 hours).
8. Choose Your Broker: Select your real estate broker with help from recruitment opportunities we provide.
9. Application Submission: Submit your Unit 2 Certificate and broker form to receive your license.
Class Schedule Options
Day Class: Monday–Friday, 9:00am – 1:00pm for 3 weeks
Evening Class: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 5:45pm – 9:45pm for 5 weeks
Unit 2 Course: Day (2 weeks) or Evening (3 weeks)
